How to make World Famous Bihari Champaran Handi Mutton - Story and recipe
Champaran Mutton is a traditional Indian dish that is popular in the state of Bihar. The recipe is as follows:

1 kg mutton2 cups yogurt2 onions, finely chopped4 cloves of garlic, minced2-inch piece of ginger, minced2 tomatoes, finely chopped2-3 green chilies, chopped1 tsp cumin powder1 tsp coriander powder1 tsp red chili powder1 tsp turmeric powder1 tsp garam masala powderSalt to taste2 tbsp ghee or oil2 cups water
Directions:
In a large bowl, mix together yogurt, onions, garlic, ginger, tomatoes, green chilies, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and salt.
Marinate the mutton in this mixture for at least 2 hours.
Heat the ghee or oil in a pressure cooker over medium heat.
Add the marinated mutton and sauté for 5-7 minutes.
Add the water and bring to a boil.
Close the pressure cooker and cook for 2-3 whistles.
Once the pressure is released, open the cooker and cook until the mutton is tender and the gravy has thickened.
Serve hot with rice or chapatis.
